Why I am here...

I first went to the Latrobe Drive clinic in December 2016 as Love Life Charlotte was ending their 40 weeks of life campaign (where they pray for abortion clinics to close, yet they remain open anyway). I witnessed more than 1,000 "walkers" marching up Latrobe Drive while gawking and screaming at patients as they went for their procedure- which was so shameful. For those that are holier than thou and are not supposed to judge, I saw a lot of harsh judgment made that day and the subsequent times I have been there. I am not pro-abortion, I am not pro-death. I am anti-harassment, anti-shaming and anti-intimidation. NOONE should be subjected to the lies, harassment and other tactics employed by the anti-choice side. Everyone, no matter their religious ideology, should be able to make decisions about their own bodies without such harassment. This is why I am here. This is why I will continue to be there. Abortion needs to remain SAFE and LEGAL and I will do everything in my power to see that happen. As of the time writing this testimonial, abortion rights have a higher (much higher) approval rate than our sitting president. We cannot let the wants and opinions of the majority of the country be torn apart by the actions of a "few" religious extremists.
